There seems to be a lot of random threads about the Kate bag, but it might be good to have one formal thread to ask any questions about the Kate bag. Carrie. I have just bought my first YSL bag - Saint Laurent Medium College Bag. It is really gorgeous and I am really delighted. I bought the bag on YSL website, without seeing it in real life. Very risky I know. I do find that the strap is longer than I have expected, I'd prefer it to be slightly shorter (say by 2 inches). I have a small Kate in black with ghw. It is a bit tight for what I like to carry inside a bag but the small size seemed to suit my frame better than the medium when I tried them on in store. If there had been a size in between the small and medium that would have been ideal. I would use the bag for dressy events and sometimes also for casual . Small vs Medium - I prefer the look and proportions of the Small, specifically how the YSL logo is more prominent against the rest of the bag. I haven’t had a chance to try it in person yet and though the dimensions say it would fit my Samsung Galaxy S8 plus phone, I am a bit wary as the Celine Box Bag in the Teen size was the same situation. Hi this is my opinion. • if you get the one with no tassel I think gold hardware is nice and striking. The silver is a little too understated. • if you get the croc embossed leather than the silver hardware is so stunning. • i am usually a silver hardware person but I really like the gold hardware for the Kate bags.
