I think the first formulation is pretty magnificent, almost flawless in it’s composition, whereas I found the 2nd version grading and borderline unwearable. I’ve had multiple bottles of each and ended up selling the reformulation bottles every time after a handful of wears. The 2010 is the same exact scent, just with extra detail to it and slightly better performance (Once again, not a huge difference). The 2010 is more on the peppery side and less sweet and the 2014 is more sweet and slightly less peppery. The latter batch is far softer/more rounded and lasts marginally less. This dense and refined version of the original La Nuit De L’Homme is perfect for date nights. It is sensual, attractive, and perfectly sophisticated making it a perfect option for a signature scent. - YSL L’Homme Libre – 2011. This energetic fragrance is very different than the others in this line. Its spiciness is much fresher making it .Its not worth the money to get an older formulation, unless you're just rolling in dough or a collector or just absolutely have to have it. Any batch before 2010 is said to be the holy grail of the La Nuits and will run you ~0 for 100ml.
